Playground Safety

We are thrilled to see local families and visitors enjoying the new playground at the Lake of Bays Community Centre in Baysville!

During ongoing public engagement, community members have been curious about which ages the playground is best suited for. The playground was designed with families in mind, offering a welcoming space for kids to play, learn, and grow with equipment suitable for children ages 2–12, with larger structures built especially for ages 5–12. With a mix of features and challenges, kids can keep discovering new ways to play as they grow.

All equipment meets CSA and IPEMA safety standards. While the playground is open to everyone, parents are encouraged to use their judgment when deciding which features are best for their child’s age and ability and always supervise children at play. This playground is also designed to help support children’s physical, social, and emotional development, while giving families a place to come together to enjoy the outdoors.

Splashpad Opening
Although construction of the splashpad and enhanced recirculating system will be complete this year, the Township is preparing for the official opening in Spring/Summer 2026. We thank the community for their patience and understanding as we finalize preparations to ensure the facility can be enjoyed safely and fully in the warmer months.
